Naomi was born in Goshen, Indiana, to Amsa H. Kauffman and Nona Marie Miller Kauffman. With her mothers and fathers serving in South Texas beneath the Mennonite Board of Missions, Naomi attended grade university in Texas and completed significant school at Hesston Academy in Kansas. In 1954, she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science and Nursing from Goshen Higher education, completing her Master’s in Nursing with Honors at Wichita Condition University in 1978.
Past all else, she consistently stated that her biggest present was to marry John Mensch Lederach and to be the mom of 3 gorgeous children.
